Basic Steps to Rent the Ritz

This is the basic information if someone is interested in renting The Ritz.  For more detailed information call David Lyttle, Executive Director, or Ken Jackson, Assistant Director, at The Ritz at 870-762-1744.

• Reserve your date with The Ritz.  A Booking Fee of $50.00 shall be paid to secure the date of the rental. This must be no less than 20 business days prior to the event date. There is a $75.00 booking fee charge if it less than a 20 day notice.  This fee is non-refundable.
• A Security Deposit of $50.00 is required to be paid.  This can be refunded provided no damages occurred under your responsibility during the rental. If any damages occur, then the security deposit can be applied towards any repair cost.
• Determine your rental needs.  Including the total rental time, show time, lighting, sound, etc.  To help determine time needed, a good start would be to take the time needed for your performance/event and add an hour before for set-up and an hour after for breakdown.

Facility Rental Rates:

Package #1 = 4 hours of usage for $300.00

Package #2 = 6 hours of usage for $400.00

Package #3 = 8 hours of usage for $500.00

Additional Costs:

             Security Deposit   $50.00 (Paid with rental fee and refundable)

                                       Booking Fee               $50/$75 (Paid at time of Booking)

Optional Costs:

            Sound                                

            Lighting Technician (Special or Spotlight)  

            Grand Piano                        

Overtime Costs:

         ·      When time exceeds rental package agreement, a minimum of at least $50 will be           charged.

·         Once the package has been paid, and the times are set, the User can no longer purchase additional packages.

·         So please calculate your needs before committing to a package.

• Sign a contract with The Arts Council of Mississippi County to rent the facility at which time you will pay a $50.00 reservation (booking) fee (non-refundable).
• Pay all rental fees no later than 20 business days prior to the event date.

* After a walk through The Ritz at the end of a rental by the renter and a representative of The Arts Council of Mississippi County, the Security deposit shall be returned in full and in a timely manner if the building is in the same condition it was found.  If there are any overtime or damage fees, the deposit will not be refunded until all fees are paid.

** Sound

Any sound requirement beyond a single-unmonitored microphone set-up requires a sound technician.  This clause includes use of any pre-recorded material played through the house system. 

*** Lights

Any lighting requirement beyond a single-setting unmonitored general illumination of the stage requires a lighting technician.  This includes use of the house follow spotlight.  The User and TAC or its designated Director shall agree upon lighting setup prior to the rental date.

***NOTE:  All programs at The Ritz must be family oriented, with no vulgarity, lewdness, obscenity, etc.  The Ritz is public property, under the authority of the Parks and Recreation Committee of the Blytheville City Council.  Talent shows or contests, variety shows or contests, and rap programs usually fall within this exclusion and are not permitted.
