Laura Martin was born in Kansas City, MO, but moved here
in 1967. She has sung, danced, and acted as
long as she can remember.
Her first role in Blytheville's community theater was at the age of 12.
She
played trumpet all through school and college. She also sang in many
different choirs throughout her school years, including all-region and
madrigals. She also studied classical voice from Ann Taddie at MCCC. She
received her Associate of Applied Science in Business from MCCC, and her BS
in Accounting & Minor in Theater from Murray State University in KY. She
taught music at ICS for 5 years and has directed many children's' musicals
at ICS & 1st United Methodist Church. Laura has acted and directed
countless plays and musicals over the years. She is currently the treasurer
of United Methodist Women & Very Busy Women. She sings in her church
choir, praise team, hand bells & plays congas & bongos. Laura is married to
Brent Martin and has two beautiful girls, Sarah and Hannah. Her parents are
Jerry & Linda Musser.
