The Mission of

The Arts Council of Mississippi County

is to enhance the quality of life for citizens of all ages by providing arts opportunities, assistance with artist development and utilization of all educational outreach channels to instill arts awareness and development.

Friday, October 3, 7:00 PM – The Arts Council of Mississippi County will be presenting the second event of their 2008 – 2009 Series entitled “Barbara Bailey Hutchison Sings”. This multi-talented Grammy Award winner appears live on stage at The Ritz. Admission prices are Adults $15.00 each, Students/Groups of 10 or more $10.00 each. Barbara’s work as a painter can be seen in the Gallery until October 15. Ask about becoming a sponsor for the 2008-2009 Series.

Saturday, October 4, 7:00PM – ACT 2! Community Theater Group will be presenting a radio drama “Dracula” written by Philip Grecian based on the book by Bram Stoker. It is produced by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing, Inc. of Woodstock, Ill. Admission cost is $5.00 per person.

Monday, October 6, 6:00 PM – The Arts Council of Mississippi County will be conducting their regular monthly meeting in the boardroom at The Ritz. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Tuesday, October 7, 7:00 PM – The Arts Council of Mississippi County will be having a meeting for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer for this year’s “Haunted Theater/House”.

Friday, October 10, 7:00PM – Finding Jimmy Hoffa in concert to celebrate the 16^th birthday of Cooper Lewis. For ticket information, please call Jagger McQuire’s Salon at 870-776-1161.

Saturday, October 11, 7:00PM – Sacred Love Records will be presenting a Gospel concert entitled A Night to Remember. Admission prices to be announced. For more information, contact James Graham at 901-503-9906. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Sunday, October 12, 3:00 PM – ACT 2! Community Theater will be conducting their regular monthly meeting in the boardroom at The Ritz. The public is welcome to attend.

Thursday, October 30, 6:30PM – The Blytheville/Gosnell Area Chamber of Commerce will host “A Conversation with George Hamilton”. Mr. Hamilton will be promoting his new book “Don’t Mind If I do”. Admission price is $10.00 for regular seating and $20.00 for premier seating. For tickets you can call The Blytheville/Gosnell Area Chamber of Commerce at 870-762-2012.

Thursday – Saturday, October 23 – November 1 – The Arts Council of Mississippi County will be presenting their annual “Haunted Theater”. It is the best Haunted House in Blytheville and will open Thursday, 7pm – 10pm, Friday & Saturday, 7pm – 11pm & Sunday – Wednesday, 7pm – 10pm and Friday & Saturday 7pm – 11pm. Admission is $5.00.
